Q. Who is eligible for this offer?

A. This offer is only open to new HSBC Home Insurance customers who switch their home insurance policy to HSBC online, in branch or by telephone.

Q. How do I claim my cancellation fee refund?

A. To claim back your cancellation fee refund, you need to send in proof of cancellation from your previous insurer provider. You can either fill in the claim form online here and upload the proof of cancellation, or alternatively you can post your details to us.
If you opt for post please download the online form, fill it in and post both documents back to us at FREEPOST HSBC Cancellation Fee Refund.

Q. When will I receive my refund?

A. Payments will be sent within 14 days of a valid claim being submitted.

Q. When do I need to claim by?

A. Claims need to be made within 90 days of your HSBC Home insurance start date. Any claims received after this date will be classed as invalid.

Q. How much could I receive?

A. The fee that your previous insurance provider charges you as a fee to cancel your policy with them.

Q. What if I cancel my Policy?

A. Unfortunately if your policy is cancelled within 30 days of the start date you will not receive the cancellation fee refund.
